About the Artist

Jacinta is a professional artist based on the Carlow/Wicklow border in Ireland. She has a deserved reputation as Irelands foremost contemporary canine and equestrian artist.

She graduated with a PhD from University College, Cork, where she lectured for ten years before relocating to an 18th Century rectory on the Wicklow border where she lives surrounded by her horses, dogs and assorted pets.

Jacinta exhibits widely, her work being shown in the Gormley Gallery, Dublin; The Lee Gallery, Cork; The Forge Gallery, Collon, Co. Louth; The Narrow Space Gallery, Clonmel, William St Gallery, Kilkenny, together with one woman shows in various other galleries and locations around Ireland.

She has been part of group shows at the Mall Gallery, London; Christies, London; The Palace House Gallery, Newmarket, England; The United Arts Club, Dublin and the Salon de La Rochelle.

Her paintings are in many corporate and private collections in Ireland, America, Australia, and throughout Europe.

Her next solo show will be at the Kilkenny Arts Week in August when she will be exhibiting in Butler House, Patrick Street and at The Talbot Hotel, Wexford as part of the Wexford Opera Festival in October. Prior to that her paintings may be viewed at .the artist's ,studio at any time, by arrangement.

The Painting at the Rectory masterclass weekends his year have been a great success. Further courses and workshops will take place later in 2017. The next weekend is scheduled for the end of September. Further courses for beginners and improvers will be held later in the year. In addition Jacinta will be giving one day master classes in Altamont Gardens in Carlow throughout the summer. Contact me to reserve your place..
